“Lost Kings of Bioko” Film Tour
¡It is our 10th Anniversary!
Just 10 years ago, little by little The Drill Project began to take form, tracking, photographing and filming the unknown Bioko Drill in the depths of the Equatorial jungle. Through intense hard work and the trials of filming wild drills for the first time in their habitat, the first documentary on the flora and fauna of Bioko Island was created. This seminal film revealed not only this elusive and unknown species but also other unique and endangered species found on Bioko.
After producing the documentary, conservationist and filmmaker Justin Jay carried out an awareness and education campaign to the most remote villages of the island to show them up close the incredible biodiversity of Bioko.
We are excited to celebrate our continued commitment to conserving this unique place by sharing with all of you the documentary of “The Lost Kings of Bioko” during a live tour through the island of Bioko!
Our goal is to make this documentary reach as many people as possible, both nationally and internationally, by sharing the unique nature of Bioko Island. This film tour project will focus on bringing the most remote villages of the island closer to the flora and fauna of Equatorial Guinea, as well as a feeling of respect and appreciation for the species with which we coexist.
We strive to continue raising awareness about the importance of conserving the environment that surrounds us, as well as reducing the demand for bushmeat. We are happy to continue giving life to this wonderful documentary that has been the product of so many years of work.
